Centurion Water Control Penstock

Blackhall Centurion™ penstocks are designed for the control and isolation of water in demanding environments such as dams, reservoirs, treatment works, dockyards and hydropower systems. Built on Blackhall’s long-standing engineering heritage, the range focuses on reliability, structural integrity and ease of operation. Every component is engineered to deliver dependable performance throughout the asset’s lifecycle, helping operators maintain safe and reliable control of critical water infrastructure.

The design brings together robust materials, precision-machined sealing faces and carefully engineered guidance systems to deliver consistent performance under varying water levels and pressures. The result is a penstock that operates smoothly, seals effectively and continues to perform reliably over time.

Unlike standard off-the-shelf solutions, the Centurion™ range is developed with real site conditions in mind. Installation tolerances, access constraints and long-term maintenance are all factored into the design, helping to reduce common issues such as leakage, misalignment and excessive operating forces.

Blackhall Centurion™ penstocks are built with a clear purpose: to provide dependable control of water where performance matters. The focus is not on complexity, but on getting the fundamentals right i.e strength, sealing and operability. Each unit is tailored to its application, giving operators confidence that the equipment will perform as intended, both now and in the years ahead.
