High Lift Boiler Safety Valve

High Lift Boiler Safety Relief Valves

Blackhall’s high lift safety relief valves are engineered to protect industrial boilers under high pressure by rapidly discharging steam in overpressure scenarios. Our single and double spring high lift designs achieve large discharge capacities, while maintaining precise set pressure, making them essential safety mechanisms for modern high-duty steam systems.

How Do High Lift Safety Valves Work?

High lift safety valves operate by allowing a large volume of steam to be discharged rapidly when system pressure exceeds a pre-set threshold. Unlike conventional valves, they utilise the exhaust steam pressure to enhance the lifting force via a piston mechanism attached to the valve spindle. This increases the valve lift and results in significantly higher flow capacity.

All moving components are precisely guided and engineered with optimal clearances to ensure smooth and responsive performance. A secured easing lever is standard to facilitate manual release for maintenance checks. To prevent tampering, the set pressure adjustment is protected with a sealed locking system.
