Bronze Accessible Feed Check Valves
TaylorShaw’s Bronze Accessible Feed Check Valves are developed from our range of Screw-down Stop Valves. The design uses a conventional Angle Pattern Stop Valve, connected to a separate inlet branch that houses the check valve. This inlet branch is uniquely designed so that the check valve head and guide sit below the face of the connecting flange. This allows the branch to be withdrawn without disturbing the feed piping. When the stop valve is closed, this feature allows quick inspection and maintenance of the check valve seatings while the boiler remains under steam. For temperatures up to saturated steam at 263 lbf/in², the check valve also incorporates a resilient seal. This provides a completely tight shut-off when the boiler pump stops, which is essential for installations using centrifugal pumps.
